Media Stars enthralled the WE Summit 2023
Not mere seminars, rather, this year's WE Summit has connected the marginal and urban online entrepreneurs with the stars of the film industry. Stars like Ananta Jalil, Afsan Ara Bindu, Runa Khan, Zakia Bari Momo, Masuma Rahman Nabila participated in the discussion and cultural performances.
On the first day of the two-day long conference held at the International Convention City, Bashundhara in the capital. On Friday afternoon, there was increased interest among marginalized women entrepreneurs around film star and AJ Industrial Group CEO Ananta Jalil. Many were eager to take selfies with him. Some of them fed him the food cooked by them. Some presented him handmade handicraft, clothes, or other gifts.
On the first day, around a dozen of panel discussions, seminars and workshops took place. Popular motivational speaker Golam Samdani Don, Chief Inspirational Officer of Don Samdani Facilitation and Consultancy started right after the inauguration. He said, women should never look down on themselves. Go ahead and figure out how to be the best in the world at what you're good at. You need to find an area where no one will be around. Rather, everyone will follow you. Remember that men and women are moving forward in the world on an equal footing.
Master Class by Learns Well
The panel discussion was followed by a masterclass workshop. The workshop was conducted by Adila Saeed, Bangladesh Officer of Learns Well. She said, the most important thing we have to consider when doing business online is cyber security. Their organization helps entrepreneurs to increase their skills in various fields including cyber security. Learns Well is a US-based company. Entrepreneurs from Bangladesh can easily use that service to grow their business.
Women's hygiene
Dr. Manika Rahman of Mugda Medical College Hospital delivered an inspiring speech on the hygiene of women at the conference. She discussed about women's physical health from menstruation to everything else. She requested girls and women to follow proper hygiene.
Meeting to strengthen the mental health of the entrepreneur
The panel discussion titled 'Empower Do Inspiration: Nurture Through Entrepreneurial Mind' discussed various topics including mental health. Popular mental health expert Dr. Sushoma Reza, Writer Sadat Rahman and many others was present in the panel discussion. The entrepreneurs were exposed to various psychological conditions and were told about how to protect themselves from those.
'The Facebook Frontier: Strategies for E-Commerce Growth'
Another panel discussion started at 3 pm on 'The Facebook Frontier: Strategies for E-Commerce Growth' and was attended by Saima Rahman, Founder and Investor of SR Ventures, Zara Mahbub, CEO of Dun and Brandstreet Data, Iftekhar Ishaq, COO of SSL Commerce, Manjurul Haque, Founder of Barcode Group. The panel discussion was moderated by Trainer Altamis Nabil.
Facebook is one of the medium of online business. Many people face various difficulties while working in this medium. Those issues came up in this discussion. Apart from this, the panelists talked about data, importance of data, requirements, and investments in starting new businesses.
'Digital Dynamo: Enhancing Digital Skills for Business Excellence'
The country's most popular digital marketing personalities are The Daily Star's Head of Digital Tajdin Hasan, World Bank's Private Sector Specialist Hosna Ferdous Sumi, EDGE Project Director and Joint Secretary Sakhawat Hossain. They discussed the digital skills required for online business. The words of various problems and possibilities of women entrepreneurs come up.
Ayman Sadiq at the conference of women after marriage
Ayman Sadiq, founder and CEO of Ten Minute School, appeared as a speaker at a conference for the first time since his tie-up with Munzerin. In this session he shared the various inspirational stories of women entrepreneurs of WE. He highlighted four issues for entrepreneurs and urged them to work on them. First eliminating unnecessary tasks, then automating essential tasks; Dedicate them and share them with others and finally prioritize yourself. If these things are followed, it will be possible to avoid many obstacles in moving forward, he said.
Activities of Day 2 of WE Summit 2023 will begin at 2pm on Saturday. This will be followed by motivational speeches, workshops, panel discussion from 4:30 pm and handing over the 'Joyee Awards' to 20 women entrepreneurs in the evening. And the ceremony will be closed through a fashion show.
